Pepper Steak

This has such a fullness of flavors, it is very similar to chicken cacciatore but with a slight asian twist.  This is one of our favorite meals and sooooo easy to make!

2 lbs. round steak
1 TBL. Olive oil
¼ cup soy sauce
1 cup. Onions sliced
1 tsp. sugar
¼ tsp. pepper
¼ tsp. ginger
1 can stewed tomatoes (home canned from the garden are the best)
1 small can tomato sauce
1 green pepper sliced
1 red pepper sliced
1 TBL. Dry mustard
1 TBL. Chili powder
1 tsp. garlic salt

Brown meat, vegetables, and olive oil in skillet. Option 1: Add to crock pot with remaining ingredients and cook on low for 5-6 hrs. or desired. Option 2: Or after browning you can leave in the skillet, add remaining ingredients and simmer for 1 hr. You can add fresh zucchini to this recipe as well. Serve over cooked rice. I always use jasmine rice!!
