Philly Cheesesteak Sloppy Joes
These are amazingly good and so darn easy! The provolone cheese sauce oozing over the flavored mixture of meat, peppers and onions creates a perfectly unique sloppy joe!1 tablespoon olive oil
1 pound ground beef
1 softball-sized onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
2 tablespoons steak sauce
1 cup beef stock or 1 half cup water + 1 cube beef boullion
Salt and ground black pepper
4 dinner rolls or hamburger buns
Cheese Sauce:1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon flour
1 cup milk
1 cup provolone, shredded
In large skillet over medium-high heat add the oil and then add the onion and green pepper and cook until the vegetables start to get tender. Add ground beef then stir in the steak sauce and beef stock, season with salt and pepper, bring up to a bubble and simmer until meat is cooked.
Toast the rolls and set aside.
While the meat is cooking, melt the butter in a medium-size pot over medium-high heat. Stir in the flour and cook about 1 minute. Whisk in milk, bring up to a bubble and let thicken, about 2 minutes. Turn off heat and stir in the cheese.
To serve, place a scoopful of the meat mixture onto the bottom of the rolls, then top with the cheese sauce and replace the top of the roll.

Cook pasta according to the package directions. Drain, reserving 1/2 cup of pasta water. Set aside.

Sukuyaki
Sorry I couldn't find a picture of this one, use your imagination! Slightly sweet asian dish with steak and veggies and sooooo easy to make. This is absolutely delicious and ALWAYS dissapears super fast, I made this last night and it was gone before I could even get any. Just a warning that you might want to make double this recipe!
1-2 pounds round steak or other
1 c. water
2 carrots chopped (I just throw in half a bag of baby carrots)
1/2 head cabbage chopped
1 onion chopped
3/4 c. soy sauce
3/4 c. brown sugar
Sautee onions with a little olive oil, when translucent add remaining ingredients bring to boil then simmer for 15 minutes or till meat is done. Serve over Jasmine rice!!!! You can add whatever you want to this, the original recipe also had tofu (add right before serving), green onions and celery in it.

St. Patty's Corned Beef, Cabbage, Potatoes and Carrots
1 Corned Beef Brisket (usually comes with a seasoning packet)
potatoes chunked
carrots cut in half
1/2 cabbage cut into 4 chunks
1 cup water
I put mine in the crockpot with the potatoes, cabbage and carrots and it couldn't have been easier, mine cooked between 4-6 hours. Beef will start to fall apart and you can cut through it easily. You can also cook this on the stove in a pot for a couple hours instead which is how my mom would do it or you can bake, but I haven't tried either of these methods.

Pasta Pizza
I tried this tonight for dinner and it was easy and quite good.
5 ounces dried rotini
1 beaten egg
1/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons grated Parmesan
8 ounces ground beef (I used ground turkey and it tasted fine)
1 1/2 cups garden style pasta sauce
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese (I mixed half cheddar)
1. Cook rotini according to directions on package. Drain
2. For pasta crust, in a large bowl combine egg, milk, and Parmasan cheese. Stir in drained rotini. Spread rotini mixture evenly in a greased 12 inch pizza pan. Bake at 350* for 20 minutes
3. In the meantime, in a large skillet, cook ground beef until brown. Drain. Stir in pasta sauce. Spoon meat mixture over baked rotini crust. Sprinkle with cheese.
4. Bake in the oven at 350* for 10-12 minutes more or until heated through.
You can also add pepperoni, olives, green peppers, or whatever you like on your pizza to this for a variation. I did one pan of regular and one pan with pepperoni and both were good.

1 pound ground beef
1 pound ground pork sausage
2 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. red pepper flakes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 egg beaten
4 hoagie rolls
1 cup marinara homemade or from a jar
12 slices mozzarella
1/4 c. parm cheese grated
Preheat broiler.
In a large saute pan over medium heat, add 1 tablespoon oil and saute onions, bell peppers and garlic. After 2 minutes, add salt and cook until tender. Remove from pan and let cool.
In a medium bowl, pour milk over bread crumbs and let soak for 5 minutes. Remove from milk and squeeze out excess milk, until bread is moist but not soggy.
In a large bowl, mix together beef, pork sausage, soaked bread, cooled vegetables, basil, oregano, parsley, pepper, chili flakes, grated Parmesan and egg. Gently roll into 2-inch balls.
In same large saute pan used for vegetables, heat over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon oil. Cook meatballs, browning completely until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F, using an instant-read thermometer.
Meanwhile, remove inside dough from hoagie rolls. To assemble heroes, fill hoagies with 4 meatballs each. Drizzle with 1/4 cup Marinara Sauce and top with 3 slices of mozzarella cheese. Place heroes on a sheet pan under the broiler until the cheese melts and turns golden brown. Top each sandwich with 1/2 tablespoon Parmesan.
Marinara Sauce:
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1 yellow onion, minced
4 medium garlic cloves, smashed
6 cups canned San Marzano tomatoes
1 tablespoon roughly chopped fresh basil leaves
1/2 tablespoon roughly chopped fresh oregano leaves
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
In medium saucepan, heat olive oil, add onions and cook over medium to low heat until onions are transparent. Add garlic and cook until almost brown and then add tomatoes. Cook for 1/2 hour over low to medium heat, then add basil and oregano and continue to cook for 30 minutes longer. In a food mill or a blender, puree into a sauce. Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
