Chicken Gumbo Soup

I made this for the missionaries this past week and they loved it.
2 cans chicken broth
1/2 c. chopped fresh green onions
1/2 c. fine chopped green pepper
1 c. tomatoes, fresh or canned
1/8 tsp. baking soda
1 bag frozen cut up okra
3 T creole seasoning
Cooked rice
Saute onions until delicately brown. Then add green pepper, tomatoes, baking soda and okra. Cook all together 5 minutes and then add it to chicken stock. Simmer together about 20 minutes, serve over 1/2 c cooked rice in a bowl. Serves 6 to 8.
