Italian Sausage Soup

It's cold and yucky outside today, so I decided to make soup. Here's the recipe I tried:

Brown 1 lb. Italian sausage with 1 chopped onion and 1 chopped green pepper


2-4 cups beef broth
2 carrots chopped
2 celery chopped
1/2 tsp. garlic
1 tsp. basil
1 Tbsp. parsley

Simmer one hour, until vegetables are tender. Add rotini or tortellini pasta. Cook until pasta is done.

Or you can make it in the crock pot. Cook on low during the day. Add pasta and turn to high about 20-30 minutes before serving.
