These next 2 recipes are the same thing but made with different crusts. They are both super yummy!
64 caramels
2/3 c. evaporated milk
2 cups flour
1-1/2 cups brown sugar
2 cups oatmeal
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. salt
1-1/2 cups melted butter
1 pkg. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
Directions:
Melt caramel with evaporated milk, then cool. Blend flour, brown sugar, oatmeal, baking soda, salt and butter. Put half of oatmeal mixture in 9x13-inch buttered pan and bake 10 to 15 minutes at 350°F.
Put chocolate chips over crust. Drizzle caramel over chocolate chips and sprinkle rest of oatmeal mixture on top. Bake for 20 minutes at 350°F.
**Instead of using the kraft caramels with evaporated milk you can instead use 1-2 jars caramel topping or make your own homemade caramel which has been the favorite around here, use 1 batch homemade caramel from post below or find under dessert label.
